Arsenal 2015-2016 Season Preview

Arsenal has great hopes on the new season .They had a very stable pre-season matches winning all of them. Most of the players are also in good shape with lesser injury worries. Alexis Sanchez return to the squad after the excellent display at Copa America will certainly boost morale at the team

The big question does Arsenal have it in them to win the premier league this time around.With the addition of Petr Cech to their lines is a big boost to the title challenge. I would have been much happier if they added another striker.

With the season about to start as early as next week The Community Shield should be a perfect plot to analyse two of the best teams in the premier league.

The best thing that has happend at Arsenal this time around could be that they never lost any important player and also was able to add a world class goal keeper.

Arsenal surely is a title contender this time around.

Arsenal face West Brom on Saturday evening Indian time. Arsenal would try to continue where they left but try to improve on the performance against arch rivals Tottenham. Considering the chances Gunners had in front of goal ,would have hoped to collect all three points .But the fact they came back from behind and saved a point should help with the confidence. Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud are deeply affected by the happenings in Paris and Wenger says he will play them only after assessing the situation after speaking to both of them. Giroud may be a prime reason for Arsenal's champions league exit. But Giroud is is a real fighter.Hope he makes up with a good performance in remaining Premier League and FA cup matches.As Wenger keeps on saying we should remember that Giroud used to play for french second division. Only because of the determination and hard work he has achieved his current success. So what makes him my favorite player. The main aspect i like about him is his ability to hold on to the ball. The second aspect is his passing ability, he is one of the best passers of the ball in the current arsenal line up.Also his presence in the line up provides more physical presence for a relatively non physical team. One negative aspect about Giroud is that he is a bit slow compared to other strikers you see around premier league and other major leagues across Europe

Europa League Arsenal Vs Qarabag

Arsenal performance was nothing great to talk about in the midweek clash against Qarabag. Mkhitaryan couldn't travel because of longstanding dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Unai Emry was happy to give youngsters and people with limited playing time as chance. Emile Smith-Rowe made a decent debut and scored goal in the 53rd minute. Papastathopoulos was lucky to score from a Nacho Monreal free kick earlier. Guendouzi completed the scoring in the 79th minute. A rsenals back always looked vulnerable only saved by the Leno's intervention. Qarabag created a number of chances but unlucky not to get to the scoresheet.With Cech out at least for 4 weeks Leno's has the chance to prove himself and take claim for the first choice goalkeeper.
